Top 10 ideas for outings in Les Karellis
Staying in Les Karellis requires a few prerequisites: a love of nature, curiosity and a desire to learn... and have fun. Discover our 10 great ideas for a crazy vacation, winter or summer. Skiing, snowshoe trekking, trail riding, ATVs... lack of originality you say? Wait until you get there!

Making the first track
They say the world belongs to the early bird... Are you an early riser? Treat yourself to a treat the others won't have: be the first to leave your trace on the immaculate snow - the view of the sunrise from up there is just sublime! The First Trace is bookable in groups of 20, and ends with a hot chocolate.

The Big Air Bag
Do you know what a Big Air Bag is? In a nutshell, you're propelled into the air, and if you can't fly, you fall back down. On a huge mattress. Perfect for a safe thrill. What about age? The activity is available for children aged six and over, and your children won't be as scared as you!

La Ponsonnière, the fun run
Are your children taking their first steps on skis or a snowboard? They'll love the fun trail at La Ponsonnière. The course is dotted with interactive panels, obstacles to avoid and chimes to ring... Maria Montessori couldn't have done a better job of turning your children into unwitting skiers.

Snowshoeing
There's nothing better than a snowshoe outing to discover the Les Karellis region.
Our favorite: Lac de Pramol. It's an easy hike, perfect for a family outing. The lake offers a privileged view of France's highest limestone cliff: the Croix des Têtes.

Cross-country skiing in the Nordic area
Ah, a cross-country ski outing to breathe deeply! Recharge your batteries in the larch forests. The Les Karellis Nordic ski area invites you to try out its 5 loops, for 30 kilometers of bliss between nature and paradise. All levels are represented, so don't hesitate to try this odyssey as a family.

The trail
Les Karellis offers three trail courses. The beginner's trail takes you through forests and meadows, while the other two require a little more endurance. We particularly recommend the Pain de Sucre trail. From the belvedere, you can admire the valley before greeting the Gros Mélèze, which has been waiting for you for 600 years!

Supervised outings on an electrically-assisted mountain bike
Rent an electrically-assisted mountain bike and get ready for adventure! Reserve your time and set off in complete safety, accompanied by a guide. Follow the forest trails to the small villages of Albanne and Montricher. Prefer to be on your own? Hire a GPS to guide you along the marked trails.
The must-do hike
Is it possible to spend the summer in Les Karellis without hiking? Everything the region has to offer is concentrated in this little Eden. So put on your sneakers and head for the belvedere to gaze out over the valley. To lull your little one to sleep, the Lac de Pramol loop is accessible by baby carriage.
And because Les Karellis is all about making your stay as enjoyable as possible, several guided hikes for all levels are scheduled every week from the Arc en Ciel club, and are included in the price of your stay!
Milking goats with Marine
Tasting local products is a good idea, but helping to make them is an even better one. Marine awaits you at her farm in Montricher for a tasting of artisan cheeses. Take part in milking the goats, and turn this gourmet break into a learning experience.

Discover life on the farm
Do your children confuse ponies and unicorns, and wonder what kind of hens make chocolate eggs? Then sign them up for the Mini Farmers Club. They'll enjoy an incredible experience on a mini-farm that's as fun as it is educational. You'll turn them into little animal lovers.
